Nadège Buffe et l’équipe de la galerie Taglialatella sont heureux de présenter pour sa troisième exposition personnelle les derniers travaux du street artiste new yorkais Senz.
Senz, vit et travaille à New York.
L’artiste a grandi dans un milieu artistique et a longtemps habité dans le quartier très créatif de Soho. Sa pensée plasticienne lui vient de cette immersion presque totale dans un univers où l’esthétique se mêle à la réflexion et à l’imagination.
Il découvre très jeune les plaisirs du graffiti dans les rues New-Yorkaises.
En constant mouvement entre Paris et NYC, il retourne à Paris en 1986 où il fréquente le milieu du Hip Hop et du Graff en s’imprégnant de l’univers créatif dans lequel musiciens et artistes se côtoient, comme Bando, Mode 2, Boxer ou encore JonOne, et se nourrissent d’inspirations.
S’entremêlent alors tout naturellement graffiti, graphisme et musique. Dès lors Senz crée notamment des pochettes d’album de divers artistes, et produit même un album sous le nom de Tuff Kids.
En 1989, diplômé de l’école parisienne ESAG Penninghen il repart vivre à New York et s’adonne à son travail d’impression et d’affichage, exposant son art comme un journal intime, pour inviter à entrer dans son monde, à voir à travers son propre prisme.
Ses œuvres trouvent rapidement leur place dans des collections privées. Collage, déchirure, sérigraphie, typographie, peinture, autant de medias qui expriment la richesse du regard de l’artiste sur le monde dans lequel il évolue.
L’exposition présentée à partir du 28 novembre est le fruit d’une collaboration avec le photographe de mode français Antoine Verglas, lui-même expatrié à New-York.
Grâce à son travail de sérigraphie, Senz fait vivre Penelope Cruz et Carré Otis, modèles d’Antoine Verglas dans son univers street-art très personnel.
Il intègre le caractère intime et sensuel des clichés de Verglas dans son imagerie perçante et foisonnante, donnant naissance à des oeuvres opulentes, habitées des symboles qui le caractérisent.

Senz lives and works in New York.
He grew up with an artistic background and lived for a long time in the very creative Soho district. His visual art vision comes from this almost complete immersion in a universe where aesthetic, reflexion and imagination are combined.
Very young, he discovers graffitti’s enjoyments in New York’ streets.
Constantly moving between Paris and NYC, he goes back to Paris in 1986 where he mixes with musicians and artist like Bando, Mode 2, Boxer or JonOne, immersing himself in the creative universe of the Hip Hop and Graff backgrounds.
He mixes naturally Graffiti, graphic design and music and creates album covers for various artists and even produces a dozen singles while in Europe, and an album as Tuff Kids.
He graduates from the Parisian school ESAG Penninghen in 1989 and goes back to New York to dedicate himself to his printing and sticking work.
He shows his art as a private diary, inviting you to his world.
His artwork finds their place rapidly in private collections. Collage, digital, screenprint, typography, paint, as many mediums possible to express the richness of the artist’s vision about the world in which he is evolving.
The exhibition presented from Saturday, November 28th is a collaboration with the French fashion photographer Antoine Verglas, who lives also in New York.
Thanks to his print work, Senz stages Penelope Cruz and Carré Otis, Verglas’ models, in his very personal street art universe.
He incorporates the intimate and sensual nature of Verglas’ pictures in his penetrating and prolific imagery, giving birth to opulent artworks, enlivened by his distinctive symbols.
